Bruce Gehring has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Bruce started their career in 1985 as the Director of Sales & Marketing at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, where they successfully increased occupancy and revenues. Bruce was recognized as Sales Manager of the Year and nominated for Director of Sales of the Year.
In 1997, Bruce joined Textron Financial as the Director of Manufacturing Sales Western US - EDCO. Bruce developed Manufacturer Floorplan Programs marketed to EDCO dealer network and was responsible for new dealer account development in a five-state territory. Bruce also coordinated marketing activities with regional Dealer Associations.
From 2003 to 2004, Bruce worked at Sheraton Suites Country Club Plaza Hotel as the Director of Sales & Marketing. Bruce developed and implemented a marketing plan for the hotel and established new transient account sales strategies.
In 2006, Bruce became the Director of Sales and Marketing at InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza. During their tenure, they successfully converted the Fairmont Hotel to the InterContinental Hotel brand. Bruce also recruited and deployed new catering and sales managers, resulting in increased sales and catering pace revenues.
Since 2008, Bruce has been working at Allegiance Group as the SVP Business Development. Their responsibilities include developing and implementing the sales and marketing strategy, identifying new market opportunities, and forming strategic marketing alliances. Bruce has achieved a 20% year-over-year growth in business development for Allegiance Group.
Bruce Gehring attended Oregon State University from 1975 to 1980. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree with a dual focus in Hotel Restaurant Management and Business Administration. Bruce earned a degree in Hotel Restaurant Management and also completed coursework in Business Administration, leading him to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in both fields.
