Mehdi Hosseini

Mehdi Hosseini is an accomplished professional in data science and artificial intelligence, currently serving as VP of Data & AI at Allegro since January 2023. Prior to this role, Mehdi held the position of Head of Data Science at Marks and Spencer from October 2019 to September 2022. Mehdi's previous experience includes serving as Director of Data Science and Product at GroupM, where leadership involved managing a global team across EMEA and North America, and as Lead Data Scientist at Sky, overseeing machine learning products for various business areas. Mehdi's early career features roles as a Research Scientist at the University of Cambridge, and positions at Microsoft and Iranian Offshore Oil Company as a Machine Learning Researcher and Software Engineer, respectively. An educational background includes a PhD in Machine Learning from UCL and a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from Sharif University of Technology.
