Chris Jones

Chris Jones is a Sr. Software Engineering Manager at AI2. Currently, Chris is managing the engineering effort on ER (EarthRanger). ER is used by conservation areas in Africa to monitor and react to the threats against elephants and other keystone species. ER was initiated at Vulcan and recently the entire project and Product Development Team was moved to AI2. While at Vulcan, Chris has also worked on several other projects in software engineering. He developed Xiant Filer (a productivity plugin for Outlook), and several other productivity applications used at Vulcan. Chris began at Vulcan writing software for the FlipStart team, whose goal was to take a full powered pc and make it pocketable. The small FlipStart device included a suite of applications enabled for seamless use. Chris started his career writing cardiovascular data intelligence software at Lumedx, and holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Washington State University.
