James Bilitski

James Bilitski has a long history of work experience in software engineering. James began working as a Contractor - Software Engineer at Ansaldo STS in 1999 and then moved to Phillips Healthcare Technologies Ltd in 1998. At Phillips, they developed real-time embedded software in the biomedical industry and worked with technologies such as C, assembly language, 68HC16, numerous sensors, and rigorous coding standards. In 2000, they became a Principal Software Engineer and Fellow at Concurrent Technologies Corporation, where they were the Technical Lead developing software for the Air Force Intelligence community, led the initiative for software process improvement for the Advanced Distributed Learning team, and was a reviewer of the corporate technology strategic plan. James also authored research and development projects and was responsible for project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and tracking. In 2011, they took on the role of Software Architect and Consultant at Clair Brothers Audio Systems, Inc., where they developed realtime low latency streaming audio applications for iOS and Android devices over wifi. James also addressed issues such as audio latency, sample rate conversion, loss concealment, forward error correction, delay algorithms, audio formats, recording quality, threading, concurrency, and software performance, communication protocols, and scalable wireless network design. In 2013, they became a Software Contractor at Moment Factory, where they contributed to a project involving streaming artistic lighting patterns to mobile iOS devices. In 2012, they were an ATAP R&D Engineering Consultant at Motorola Mobility, and in 2015 they were a Director of Research and Development at Allen Interactions Inc. and a Consulting Software Engineer at Confirmix. In 1997, they were President at Sharp Talent, and in 1999 they became an Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.

James Bilitski completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Nova Southeastern University from 2000 to 2006. Prior to that, they obtained a MSE in Software Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University between 1995 and 1997. James also holds a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology from PennWest California.
