Danny Hunter serves as Principal Scientist and Global Coordinator of the BFN Project at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT since 2008. With extensive experience, Danny's work includes coordinating GEF-funded initiatives in multiple countries and contributing to academic programs as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Charles Sturt University and the University of Sydney, alongside an Adjunct Lecturer role at National University of Ireland, Galway. Additional involvement in various advisory and leadership positions, including member roles in IUCN specialist groups and on the board of NATIVE, underscores a commitment to agrobiodiversity and sustainable agriculture. Educational credentials include a PhD from the University of Sydney and a Master of International & Community Development from Deakin University.
