Valin Brown

Valin Brown is the CEO of Alliant Educational Foundation, a position they have held since January 2017. Prior to that, they served as Senior Vice President & Chief Development Officer at United Way of San Diego County from December 2014 to January 2017. From February 2008 to November 2014, they were the CEO of Carlsbad Educational Foundation, and before that they were the Executive Director of Colorado Bright Beginnings from October 2001 to December 2007. Valin began their career in 1998 as Manager of Community Initiatives at United Way of Greater Knoxville before moving to Metro Denver Bright Beginnings in 2000, where they served as Manager until 2001.

Valin Brown studied cultural anthropology at Northwestern University, where they earned their Master of Arts. They also hold a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and another in anthropology from Northwestern University.
