Lauren Anning

Lauren Beagrie (née Anning) has a diverse range of work experience in various design-related roles. Lauren is currently the Lead UX/UI Designer at Alliants, where they are responsible for delivering exceptional and intuitive user-centered designs for luxury hospitality brands. In addition, they manage the design team, providing reviews, personal development plans, and feedback on design work. Previously, they worked as a Senior UX/UI Designer at Alliants and as a UX/UI Designer and Researcher.

Prior to their work at Alliants, Lauren worked as a Print and Digital Designer at Totaljobs Group, where they created data-driven designs to support the delivery of high-quality products and services across different sectors. Before that, they gained experience as a Designer and Production Administrator at Rugged Interactive, where they oversaw various business ventures, including product development and digital marketing campaigns.

Lauren also has experience as a Junior Designer at Design for Sport Developments Ltd, where they contributed to all aspects of product creation. Lauren started their career as a Footwear Developer at Puma, where they supported current and prospective projects for footwear designs.

In addition to their design roles, Lauren worked as a Teaching Assistant at Ivybridge Community College, providing support to students with Special Educational Needs. Lauren also held the position of Social Communications Secretary at Loughborough Students' Sport, where they improved the exposure of the hockey club and managed the club's social media accounts and website.

Before their professional career, Lauren worked as a freelance Artist and Graphic Designer, completing various projects for clients. Lauren also gained experience as an Architectural Assistant at McCaren Architecture, where they assisted the team and completed a project designing a home using Autodesk software.

Lauren Beagrie (née Anning) pursued their education at Loughborough University from 2010 to 2014. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Sports Technology.

Prior to their university studies, Lauren attended Ivybridge Community College from 2003 to 2010. Lauren completed their A Levels in Art (A*), Maths (A), and Physical Education (A), and an AS Level in Geography (A).

In addition to their formal education, Lauren has also acquired various certifications. Lauren obtained a Membership Certificate in 2019, Information Visualization certification from The Interaction Design Foundation in 2020, and a Soft Skills - New Manager Team Leader Skills certification from Acuity Training in 2022. Furthermore, they completed the Emergency First Aid at work course from St John Ambulance in 2022 and the OCR Level 2 Award in IT User Skills (ITQ) - Imaging software from OCR in 2015.

Lauren has also pursued professional development in specific areas. Lauren completed the Staff awareness: Information Security and ISO 27001 course from IT Governance Ltd in 2023. Additionally, they acquired certifications related to their involvement in sports, such as the England Hockey Basic Awareness Online Safeguarding Training Course from England and Great Britain Hockey in 2020 and the Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Hockey from England Hockey Ltd in 2009. Lauren also completed the First Aid for Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula (TOFS) Syndrome course under the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations, 1981, in 2012.
