Vic Mende

Vic Mende is an experienced orientation and mobility specialist with a strong background in supporting blind and visually impaired individuals. Currently serving as an orientation and mobility specialist for Allied Instructional Services since January 2022, Vic Mende is responsible for assisting itinerant K-12 students across multiple school districts in Florida. Prior experience includes roles at Lions Volunteer Blind Industries, where Vic Mende increased client referrals and developed significant community support while managing a substantial budget. As an independent orientation and mobility specialist from 2011 to 2017, Vic Mende prepared evaluations and training recommendations for visually impaired clients. Earlier roles included serving as director and employment services coordinator at Lions Volunteer Blind Industries, with a proven track record in program development and community job placement initiatives. Vic Mende's educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Physical Education from Capital University and a Master of Arts in Blind Rehabilitation from Western Michigan University.
