Charlotte Mayeda has extensive experience in legal support and education, currently serving as a Paralegal at the United Community Housing Coalition since February 2021, managing a caseload of 200 clients and assisting in court proceedings. Previously, Charlotte worked as a Teacher Assistant at UCLA Department of African American Studies, where course design and student guidance led to a 95% passing average. Additional roles include Technology Assistant at Managed Career Solutions Inc., Justice for the People Intern at the National Lawyers Guild, and various mentoring and support positions at Beloit College, contributing to high graduation rates and retention among marginalized students. Charlotte holds an M.A. in Black Studies from UCLA and a B.A. in Political Science and Legal Studies from Beloit College, complemented by experience in research and community engagement.
