Sergio Plaza

Sergio Plaza holds extensive experience in engineering and operations within the construction industry. Currently serving as VP of Operations at Allied Steel Buildings since March 2015, Sergio manages technical sales support and project management on global projects. As President and CEO of Plaza Engineering Consultants, Inc. since January 1990, Sergio specializes in structural and architectural engineering, including inspections of structural failures. Previous roles include Technical Director at Behlen Manufacturing Company, Sr. VP Operations at Eaglespan Steel Structures LLC, and Sr. VP of Engineering at EagleSpan Steel Structures, Inc. Additionally, Sergio has contributed to local economic growth as a board member for the Northern Colorado Economic Development Corporation and the Loveland Chamber of Commerce, including a term as Board Chairman. Academic contributions include teaching at Front Range Community College. Sergio earned a Bachelor of Science in Architectural and Structural Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, with prior studies at the University of Notre Dame.
