Jeffery Krakower has extensive work experience in the medical field. Jeffery is currently working as a Medical Director at AllMed Healthcare Management since 2023. Prior to that, they operated their own private medical practice called Jeffery M. Krakower, MD, specializing in medical consultation, disorders of hemostasis and thrombosis, and management of venous thromboembolic disease. Jeffery also has experience in medical writing, teaching, chart review, medical malpractice consulting, research, and hospital board functioning.
In addition, Krakower has worked as a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine from 1993 to 2004. Before that, they were a Partner at Redwood Medical Clinic from 1980 to 1986. Jeffery started their career at Stanford Health Care, where they served as Chief Resident Physician, Instructor in Medicine, Internal Medicine Resident, and Internal Medicine Intern from 1974 to 1980. Additionally, Krakower worked as a Staff Associate at the National Cancer Institute from 1976 to 1978.
Jeffery Krakower attended the University of Michigan from 1966 to 1969, where they studied Zoology. Jeffery then transferred to Stanford University in 1969 and graduated with an AB degree in Medical Clinical Sciences/Graduate Medical Studies in 1970. Jeffery went on to attend Stanford University School of Medicine from 1970 to 1974, obtaining their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
After completing their education, Jeffery obtained several certifications including being a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Board of Internal Medicine, both in 1979. Jeffery was also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and received the Stanford Medical Alumni Association Scholar designation in 1974. Additionally, they were a California State Graduate Fellow in 1969, a Phi Beta Kappa member from the University of Michigan in 1969, and a National Merit Scholar in 1966.
