Youssef Shoufan

Youssef Shoufan is a seasoned filmmaker, director, and photographer with extensive experience across various artistic and cultural organizations. Currently serving as a filmmaker and director at Canada Media Fund since December 2019, Youssef also holds roles at Ville de Montréal, overseeing video projects that highlight artists in residence and exhibitions. Additionally, responsibilities at Théâtre Prospero involve creating videos that showcase theatrical works and their creators. Youssef's portfolio includes positions at Cirque du Soleil, where documentation of behind-the-scenes moments occurs, and involvement with other organizations such as Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec and MEM – Centre des mémoires montréalaises, focusing on storytelling through video and photography. Youssef Shoufan holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Journalism from UQAM, obtained in 2009.
