Umer Khan

Umer Khan has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Umer currently works as a Machine Learning Research Engineer at Allos since January 2022. Prior to that, they were an Engineering Student Ambassador at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where they held positions such as Head Student Ambassador, Deputy Head Student Ambassador, and Student Ambassador from November 2018 to September 2022. Umer was also involved with Google Developers as a Technical Head and Core Team Member of the Developer Student Club @HKUST from July 2020 to September 2021. Umer gained experience in software development and technology as a Software Intern/Technology Programme Officer at FutureNow from June 2020 to September 2021. Umer also worked as an English Language Teacher at local primary and secondary schools through Headstart Group Ltd from March 2019 to September 2021, and as a Coding/STEM Course Instructor at First Code Academy from August 2019 to March 2021. Lastly, Umer served as an Event Coordinator at SuperPark Hong Kong from June 2018 to June 2019, where they organized and coordinated camps and events for children.

Umer Khan attended HKMA David Li Kwok Po College from 2012 to 2018, where they obtained their High School Diploma. During this time, they focused on Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and M1 subjects. In 2018, they enrolled at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where they pursued a degree in Computer Engineering. Umer completed their studies in 2022, specializing in Computer Programming and Electronic Circuits. Additionally, in August 2020, they obtained a certification in Fundamentals of Digital Marketing from Google.
