Blake Reeves has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Blake is currently the Director of Software at Alloy Enterprises Inc, starting in 2023. Previously, they worked at Desktop Metal as a Senior Software Product Manager from April 2017 to April 2023, where they focused on creating software applications for powder-based 3D printing solutions and managing teams. Before that, they were a Product Manager at GrabCAD from November 2015 to April 2017, where they contributed to the development of the GrabCAD Print application for Stratasys 3D printers. From June 2012 to November 2015, they worked as a SolidWorks Product Definition Manager at Dassault Systemes, where they built relationships with users and communicated their feedback to the development teams. Prior to that, Blake gained experience as a Gillette Mechanical Design Assistant at Procter & Gamble from September 2011 to May 2012, and as an Engineering Assistant at Qteros, Inc. from June 2009 to August 2011. Additionally, they worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer & CAD Engineer at Steelwagon Design from January 2008 to August 2011.
Blake Reeves obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the years 2009 to 2012. In terms of additional certifications, Reeves has been certified as a Scrum Product Owner by the Scrum Alliance in September 2016. In October 2014, Reeves obtained certifications from the SolidWorks Authorized Training Centre in various areas, including Certified SolidWorks Expert - Mechanical Design, Certified SolidWorks Professional Advanced Mold Tools, Certified SolidWorks Professional Advanced Sheet Metal, Certified SolidWorks Professional Advanced Surfacing, and Certified SolidWorks Professional Advanced Weldments. In addition, Reeves completed the Fundamentals of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing course provided by Tec-Ease, Inc. in October 2014. Finally, Reeves obtained certifications as a Certified SolidWorks Professional Core in March 2012 and as a Certified SolidWorks Associate in February 2011, both from the SolidWorks Authorized Training Centre.
