Michael Schmidt

Mike Schmidt currently serves as the Chief Scientific Officer at Alloy Therapeutics, Inc. since May 2023, bringing extensive leadership experience in biotechnology and biopharmaceutical research. Previously held the position of Chief Scientific Officer at Ankyra Therapeutics from February 2020 to May 2023, and served in various senior roles at Compass Therapeutics LLC from 2015 to 2020, including Senior Vice President, Head of Research. Mike's career began at Eleven Biotherapeutics, where significant contributions were made in protein engineering from 2010 to 2015. Academic foundations include a PhD in Biological Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in Biology from Villanova University. Additionally, early research experience involved developing novel polymers for ocular applications during an R&D internship at Bausch + Lomb.
