Mieke Holder

Mieke Brummer Holder is a Senior Research Scientist at Alltech, specializing in Equine and Companion Animal research since July 2021. Previously, Mieke served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky from April 2016 to June 2021 and held various positions at Alltech, including Research and Nutrition and Postdoctoral roles from August 2012 to March 2016. Earlier research experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at the University of Kentucky from July 2007 to July 2012. Mieke holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Equine Nutrition from the University of Kentucky, obtained in 2012, a Master of Science (MS) in Animal Nutrition from the University of Pretoria, completed in 2007, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Animal Sciences from the University of Pretoria, earned in 2004.
