Vibhanshu Abhishek

Vibhanshu Abhishek has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Vibhanshu is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Alltius, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to this, they served as an Associate Professor of Information Systems at the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business, starting in July 2018.

Abhishek also has experience as a Charter Member at TiE SoCal from October 2022. Vibhanshu has served as an Advisory Board Member at beatBread since June 2019 and at BREVVIE since January 2021. Additionally, they were a Data Science Advisor at NEXT Trucking from June 2020 to July 2021.

In their previous role at RIVIGO, Abhishek held the position of Chief Data and AI Officer & Head of Engineering from July 2018 to December 2019. Vibhanshu led a team of over 150 data scientists, engineers, and product managers and played a key role in raising substantial funding and implementing process engineering, automation, and AI/ML initiatives.

Abhishek has also served as a Scientific Advisor at Kaplan Professional from February 2018 to December 2019 and at MaestroIQ from May 2013 to July 2018. Prior to this, they worked as an Advisor and Chief Data Scientist at Sequoia Capital, where they supported portfolio companies in scaling up their Data Science activities and evaluating new investments from June 2016 to August 2018.

Vibhanshu Abhishek completed their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur between 1999 and 2003. Later, they pursued further education at The Wharton School, where they obtained an AM degree in Statistics from 2007 to 2010. Subsequently, from 2007 to 2012, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Operations and Information Management from The Wharton School.
