David Nelson

David Nelson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in biomedical engineering and product development. Since August 2016, David has held the position of R&D Manager for New Product Development at Allurion Technologies, following a tenure as Senior Product Development Engineer. Prior to this, David served as Principal Engineer at BioSurfaces, Inc. from May 2011 to August 2016, where expertise was provided in various medical innovations, including vascular grafts and tissue anchoring devices. David's career also includes roles as Senior Research Engineer and Systems Engineer, where contributions were made in developing applications for bioactive agents and configuring video test systems, respectively. David began the career as an Asbestos Abatement Supervisor at Banner Environmental Services, Inc. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with a Minor in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
