John Corey

John Corey has a diverse work experience starting as a Grounds Crew at Diocese of Grand Rapids, Holy Cross Cemetery, where they ensured the upkeep of the cemetery and assisted grieving families. John then worked as Event Staff Security at DK Security, Inc., where they were responsible for maintaining a safe environment at various event venues. John then joined Meijer as a Receiving Auditor, where they conducted audits and verified incoming freight. John also worked as a Purchasing Intern at Royal Technologies Corp. and in production at Grand Valley Concrete Products.

In 2020, John transitioned to the logistics industry, starting as an Operations Specialist at Ally Logistics, before progressing through various roles. John worked as a West-South Regional Dispatch Manager, responsible for load coverage and negotiating rates with carriers. John then became a Senior Regional Dispatch Manager, overseeing load coverage for the East Region and negotiating contracts. John later served as an RDM Team Lead, managing regional dispatch managers and adjusting coverage as needed. John then became a Carrier Operations Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations and training team members. Currently, John holds the position of Director of Open Deck Operations at Ally Logistics, where they oversee all activities of the Open Deck Department, assists in sales outreach, and secures capacity and pricing for open deck business.

John Corey completed their Associate of Arts degree at Grand Rapids Community College from 2017 to 2018. John then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management at Grand Valley State University from 2018 to 2020.
