Niamh McGivern

Niamh McGivern is an accomplished biomarker research professional with extensive experience in cancer research. Currently, Niamh serves as the Biomarker Research Team Leader at Almac Group since September 2018, having previously held the positions of Senior Scientist II and Senior Scientist in Biomarker Discovery. Prior to joining Almac Group, Niamh was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Edinburgh from January 2016 to September 2018, focusing on the role of cellular adhesion proteins in tumor development and metastasis using advanced proteomic and transcriptomic techniques. Niamh's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Cancer Research and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with honors, both from Queen's University Belfast. Additionally, Niamh contributed to STEM initiatives as a STEM ambassador from September 2012 to September 2015.
