Pam McDowell has over 30 years of work experience. Pam began their career in 1989 as an Assistant Store Manager at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. In 1992, they moved to McDonough County Shopper as a Publisher and Graphic Designer-Production Manager. In 2004, they were promoted to Publisher of the Macomb Journal while remaining Publisher of the Shopper. In 2010, they were promoted to Publisher of the Pontiac Daily Leader, supervising a staff of 21. In 2012, they worked as a Community Service Officer at Bloomington Police Department. In 2013, they worked as Support Staff V at Bloomington City Clerk. Since 2014, they have been working at ALMACO as a Sales Coordinator/Logistics and Electronic Final Assembler.
Pam McDowell attended Springfield Southeast High School from 1980 to 1982. Pam then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Management at Western Illinois University, graduating in 1989. Pam also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Computer Science from Western Illinois University and an Associates of Science Degree in Business from Lincoln Land Community College.
