Mainak G. has worked for a number of companies, starting with Goldman Sachs in 2014 as a Strat(egist). In 2013, they co-founded Sopotra, a peer-to-peer shipping portal, where they built the first version of the website, raised funding from incubators, and ensured smugglers didn't use the service. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at Engineers Gate as a Data Scientist and Manager and then as an Investor at Saison Capital from 2020 to 2022. Currently, they are an Investor at Stellaris Venture Partners and Global Expansion Strategy at Almond FinTech.

Mainak G. obtained a Master of Business Administration - MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Mainak also holds a Bachelor of Science from Yale University in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Prior to that, they completed coursework towards a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Patna in Computer Science and Engineering.
