Dr. Carmen Walbert

Dr. Carmen Walbert, MD, currently serves as Vice President of Medical Affairs International TTR at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, a position held since 2024. With extensive experience in medical affairs across various leading pharmaceutical companies, Dr. Walbert has held significant leadership roles including Vice President of Medical Affairs at Biogen and Head of Medical Affairs EMEA at Baxter International Inc. Previous positions include Chief Medical Officer for multiple divisions at Medtronic and Covidien, along with various leadership roles at UCB and Merck Sharp & Dohme. Dr. Walbert’s career is marked by a commitment to innovation and excellence, overseeing large teams and strategic initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes across therapeutic areas. Dr. Walbert obtained a medical degree from Victor Babeş University of Medicine and Pharmacy and furthered education at The London School of Economics and Political Science.
