Lauren Woods

Lauren Woods is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry and academia. Since February 2016, Lauren has held various positions at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, progressing from Senior Associate Scientist to Senior Scientist. Prior to this role, Lauren contributed to research as a Graduate Research Assistant at Boston College, where expertise in peptide synthesis and sequencing was developed. Additional experience includes a Chemical Process R&D Internship at Biogen Idec, focusing on catalytic enantioselectivity, and tutoring roles in organic chemistry and biology at Emmanuel College, along with outreach efforts promoting Green Chemistry. Lauren holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from Boston College and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biology from Emmanuel College, distinguished in Chemistry.
