Maged Darwish

Maged Darwish, Ph.D., serves as Vice President of Global Regulatory Affairs, CMC at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals since September 2019. Prior to this role, Maged held the position of Executive Director for Global Regulatory Affairs – CMC Biologics at Merck from March 2017 to September 2019. Maged's extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry includes serving as Group Head of Technical Regulatory for Biologics at Roche from February 2012 to February 2017, and various roles at Novartis from July 1997 to January 2012, culminating as Associate Director of Global Regulatory CMC. Maged began the career as a Method Development and Validation Scientist at Novartis and also worked as a Laboratory Supervisor and Research Scientist at ITPL. Maged holds a PhD in Biochemistry and an MS in Chemistry from Seton Hall University, as well as a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from Alexandria University.
