Brad Llewellyn's work experience begins in 1988 as a Systems Analyst at Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc. Brad then worked as a Technical Consultant at Analytical Surveys, Inc. from 1991 to 1995. From 1995 to 1999, Brad served as the VP of Operations at Smart Data Strategies.

In 2000, Brad founded Cadastra, where they focused on reshaping geospatial data conversion and improving data collection and mapping methods. Cadastra grew rapidly and was eventually acquired by Pitney Bowes Business Insight in 2007. Brad stayed with the company, serving as the Senior Director - Parcel Services until May 2009 when they oversaw the successful transition of the Cadastra team.

Following their time at Pitney Bowes, Brad founded WhereNext, Inc. in 2010. The company focused on data acquisition methodologies, offering cloud-based mapping platforms for open data portals and business intelligence solutions. Brad led the company as Founder and President until March 2013.

From 2013 to 2019, Brad worked at Verizon Connect as a Senior Product Manager, Data Solutions. Brad defined the vision and managed the roadmap for multiple engineering teams, overseeing the development of data-centric applications tailored to fleet management and mobile resource business needs.

Currently, Brad serves as the Chief Product Officer at Aloft (formerly known as Kittyhawk) since May 2023. Aloft is a market leader in drone airspace systems and UTM (Unmanned Traffic Management) technologies, connecting a large drone network globally. Brad previously held the positions of Head of Product and Partner Integrations and Director of Partner Integrations at Aloft.

Brad Llewellyn received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business from the University of Virginia. Brad attended the University from 1985 to 1988. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications, including the Remote Pilot, Part 107 certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in June 2019, and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from The Project Management Institute (PMI) in September 2012.
