Rich Terasaki serves as a Captain at Spirit Airlines, flying A319, A320, and A321 aircraft since August 2012. In addition, Rich holds the position of SPA MEC Central Air Safety Chairman with the Air Line Pilots Association since November 2016. Previously, Rich was an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from March 2013 to March 2016, contributing to the Aeronautical Science Department. Rich also worked as Chief Pilot for Regal Beloit from September 2009 to September 2012, flying the Hawker 850XP, and as Captain for SC Aviation, Inc., running Lear 31A and 35A aircraft from October 2006 to February 2009. Earlier career highlights include serving as a Captain for Mesaba Airlines on the Saab 340 from March 1999 to October 2006, and starting as a pilot at Aero Taxi and Aero Taxi-Rockford from 1996 to 1999. Rich holds a Master of Aeronautical Science degree with a focus on Safety and Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from Southern Illinois University. Additionally, Rich served as a Forward Observer in the US Army from 1988 to 1990.
