José Carlos Pons De La Garza

José Carlos Pons De La Garza is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Alpek. José has over 20 years of experience in various finance and engineering roles. Prior to joining Alpek, José Carlos was the Corporate Central Planning Manager at Nemak from July 1996 to January 2006. In this role, they were responsible for the control and approval of major Capex programs, as well as the economic valuation of investment projects. José Carlos also has experience in capacity planning, allocation of new programs, and assessment of capacity expansion initiatives. Prior to Nemak, José Carlos worked as an industrial engineer at Whirlpool Corporation from January 1996 to July 1996.

José Carlos Pons De La Garza holds an AD1 in Business Administration from IPADE, an MBA in Business Administration from EGADE, and a degree in Mechanical Engineer from Tecnológico de Monterrey.

José Carlos Pons De La Garza reports to José De Jesús Valdez Simancas, Chief Executive Officer. They are on a team with Gustavo Talancón Gómez - President of the Caprolactam, Fertilizer and Polyester Filament Business Unit, Jorge P. Young Cerecedo - Co President of Alpek Polyester, and Alejandro Llovera Zambrano - President of the Polypropylene Business Unit.
