Marcos Velasquez has a diverse work experience that includes roles in investment banking, fundraising, mentorship programs, and internships. Marcos began their career at Deutsche Bank as an Incoming 2022 Investment Banking Summer Analyst. Prior to that, they participated in the Investment Banking Program at SEO (Sponsors for Educational Opportunity) and served as the Co-Director of Fundraising at ALPFA, Inc - Association of Latino Professionals For America. Marcos also worked as a mentee at StreetWise Partners, where they demonstrated strong project management skills and delivered presentations to professionals from top financial institutions. Additionally, they participated in the projectBASTA fellowship program, focused on supporting first-generation college students in securing entry-level positions. Marcos further expanded their knowledge by studying at Wall Street Prep and participating in the Mentorship Program Cohort at Jopwell. Marcos gained practical experience in the finance and accounting field through an internship at Johnson & Johnson. Marcos also attended industry conferences such as the Commercial Banking Launching Leaders Conference and the J.P. Morgan Corporate & Investment Bank Hispanic-Latinx Conference. Marcos Velasquez is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree at Queens College. Marcos is expected to complete their degree in 2022, with a major in Corporate Finance, Economics, and International Business, and a minor in Computer Science. Prior to enrolling at Queens College, Marcos earned an Associate's degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from Nassau Community College. In addition to their formal education, Marcos has also obtained certifications in Excel Quick Tips and Excel: PivotTables for Beginners from LinkedIn, which they achieved in June 2020.
