Joey Perry has extensive work experience in the mining industry. Joey currently holds the position of Vice President - Business Planning at Alpha Metallurgical Resources since February 2021. Joey previously worked at Contura Energy as Vice President - Business Planning from May 2019 to February 2021 and as Director - Business Development and Planning from July 2016 to May 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Alpha Natural Resources in various roles including Manager - Corporate Business Planning from June 2013 to July 2016, Senior Analyst - Strategic Sourcing from July 2012 to June 2013, Manager - Distribution from June 2011 to July 2012, Sales Analyst from September 2009 to June 2011, and Operations Analyst from April 2008 to September 2009.

Joey Perry pursued a Master of Science degree in Business Analytics (MSBA) from Wake Forest University School of Business from 2021 to 2023.
