Matt Fletcher

Matt Fletcher is an experienced Senior GIS Analyst with a strong background in building and managing enterprise GIS systems. Currently at Alpha Metallurgical Resources since December 2020, Matt developed a comprehensive GIS system tailored to land group needs, utilizing ArcGIS technology and SQL server. Prior experience includes managing the GIS operations for Contura Energy in Pennsylvania from 2016 to 2020 and overseeing the GIS for Pennsylvania Land Resources, a natural gas exploration company, from 2008 to 2016. Additionally, Matt has held roles at Alpha Natural Resources and worked on a centralized GeoDatabase for the Directorate of Public Works at West Point. Educational qualifications include a BS in Geography with a concentration in Cartography from Frostburg State University and an AA in General Studies from Garrett College.
