Alejandro Velez Arce

Alejandro Velez-Arce is an accomplished professional with a background in computer science and extensive experience in research and software engineering. Currently serving as a Pre Doctoral Researcher at Harvard Medical School under Professor Marinka Zitnik, Alejandro previously founded a startup and held senior engineering roles at Cruise and Pinterest, focusing on machine learning and robotics. Additional professional experience includes positions at MIT CSAIL, The World Bank, and Group One Trading, LP, as well as internships at TradeStation and MIT AeroAstro. Alejandro earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is currently pursuing a fellowship in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology at Harvard University, along with pre-med coursework at Harvard Extension School.
