Vijay Prabhakar

Vijay Prabhakar has extensive work experience in the field of design and research. Vijay is currently serving as the Head of Design and Research at Alt since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Product Design Lead at Wealthfront Inc. from August 2018 to March 2021. Vijay also served as the User Experience and Service Design Lead at NIO from July 2017 to August 2018. Before that, Vijay worked at IDEO as a Principal Interaction Designer from January 2016 to August 2017 and as a Senior Interaction Designer from February 2014 to January 2016. Vijay also held positions as a Senior User Experience Designer and a User Experience Designer at SCAD - Savannah College of Art and Design from October 2012 to February 2014 and from April 2009 to October 2012, respectively. Additionally, Vijay has experience as a Web Developer at CAMO Technologies, Inc. from November 2008 to April 2009 and as a Web Designer at the Hispanic Research Center from August 2006 to October 2008. Vijay also briefly worked as a Web Developer at ImagineValley from March 2006 to November 2006.

Vijay Prabhakar completed their Master of Science degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Information Retrieval and Social Computing from Arizona State University. Vijay pursued this program from 2006 to 2008.
