Les Brown

Les Brown, AICP, RSP1, currently serves as a Senior Planning Associate at Alta Planning + Design, focusing on active transportation planning initiatives throughout California, emphasizing safety and infrastructure improvements. Prior experience includes a role as Director of Transportation at ICF, where responsibilities encompassed project management for FHWA contracts and strategic planning for the New York State DOT. Additional experience includes serving as a Transportation Research Assistant at the University of Florida, where Les provided technical assistance for Safe Routes to School initiatives and conducted scenario planning. Les holds a Master’s Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Florida and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from UC Santa Barbara.
