Jerry Jackson

Jerry Jackson has a diverse background in the healthcare industry, with a focus on compliance and regulatory affairs. Jerry began their career at HealthNet HMO, where they worked in the Appeals and Grievance department from 1988 to 1991. Jerry then moved on to roles at UHP Healthcare and MD Care Inc., where they held positions as Director of Regulatory Compliance and Director of Compliance, respectively. In these roles, they were responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and developing and monitoring compliance programs.

From 2010 to 2014, Jerry worked at Monarch HealthCare as Manager of Regulatory Compliance, where their responsibilities included developing and implementing compliance structures, representing the organization to regulatory bodies, and overseeing adherence to laws and policies. Jerry then moved to Accountable Healthcare IPA, where they served as Compliance and Privacy Officer from 2014 to 2016, leading the Corporate Compliance Program and identifying emerging compliance priorities.

Jerry also has experience in the academic field, serving as an Adjunct Professor at California State University, Northridge from 2005 to the present. Jerry teaches Health Law to health administration students, covering topics such as contracts, torts, employment law, and healthcare ethics.

Currently, Jerry is working at AltaMed Health Services as SVP Chief Compliance Officer. Jerry is responsible for the overall vision, leadership, and management of the enterprise compliance program, including compliance operations, risk management, privacy, and internal audit.

Jerry Jackson attended California State University, Northridge from 1981 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Health Administration. Following this, they pursued a law degree at the University of West Los Angeles School of Law from 1999 to 2003, earning a Juris Doctor (JD) in Law. In terms of additional certifications, Jerry obtained the Certified Healthcare Privacy Compliance certification from the Compliance Certification Board (CCB) in January 2021, and the Certified Healthcare Compliance certification from the same institution in August 2012.
