Gagan Kapoor

Gagan Kapoor is a Data Science Manager at AltaML. Gagan has previously worked as a Senior Data Scientist at the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER), where they collaborated with multiple government agencies and productionized AER’s first machine learning model leading to an industry investment of CAD $20 million into the provincial remediation program for fish habitat restoration. Gagan has also worked as a Machine Learning Intern at Husky Energy and as a Technical Analytics Intern at CNOOC International. In addition, Gagan has interned at the Remote Sensing Group at TU Bergakademie Freiberg in Germany and at ONGC in India.

Gagan Kapoor has completed a Master of Science in Computational Analytics from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Applied Science from Saint Mary's University.

Gagan Kapoor works with Matthew Dowling - Data Science Manager, Mohammad Riazi - Data Science Manager, and Anju Tai - Data Science Manager. Gagan Kapoor reports to Juliano Bitu Rabelo, Director of Data Science.
