Daniel de Castro Ruivo has a diverse work experience, starting in 2007 as a Producer at Flor Caveira. In 2007, they co-founded Amor Fúria Record Label. In 2008, they founded MAU, a creative agency where they worked with Universal Entertainment and MTV. In 2010, they founded LEVE design, a low budget design atelier. In 2012, they founded LUMYI startup, a communication agency focused on short videos for startups and Fortune 500 companies. In 2014, they co-founded HUTSI and also founded Orçamentador. Since 2015, they have been the CEO & Co-Founder of ALTAR.io, where they partner with technology leaders to build digital products and works with financial institutions on tech transformation.

Daniel de Castro Ruivo has a diverse education history. In 1998, they began their studies at Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa, where they pursued a field of study in Architecture. After completing their time there in 2000, Daniel furthered their education at Universidade Católica Portuguesa. From 2000 to 2003, they focused on Sound & Image Production. Following their time at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Daniel then attended ESTC, where they obtained a Licentiate degree in Cinematography and Film Production.
