Cobus van der Merwe

Cobus van der Merwe started their work experience in 1995 as a Design Technician at Atomic Energy Corporation of SA Ltd (AEC). Cobus was responsible for creating schematic diagrams on ORCAD Schematic and PC board layouts on Tango PCB. In 1996, they joined Pi Shurlok as an Engineering Manager, where they worked until 2004. Cobus then assumed the role of Senior Project Manager at ALTECH NETSTAR from 2005 to 2009. Cobus returned to Netstar in 2009 as a Manager of Development Services until 2012. Cobus briefly acted as the CTO (Acting) at ALTECH NETSTAR from 2012 to 2013. At Netstar, they served as the GM of Engineering and Product Development from 2013 to 2015, and later became the GM of Video Technology and Product Development.

Cobus van der Merwe's education history begins in 1992, when they enrolled at Tshwane University of Technology to pursue a NDip in Electronic Engineering. Cobus completed this program in 1994. Following this, in 1995, Cobus obtained a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Electronic Engineering from the same institution. Moving ahead to further enhance their qualifications, Cobus attended Da Vinci Institute in 2010 for a Master of Science (MS) degree in Management of Technology and Innovation (MOTI), which they completed in 2011.
