Karen Johns

Karen Johns, CPA, has extensive experience in accounting and finance, currently serving as the Controller at Alterman, Inc. since May 2012, where management of the accounting/finance department is a primary responsibility. Prior to this role, Karen held the position of Audit Manager at Tsakopulos Brown Schott & Anchors from January 2005 to May 2012, conducting audits for both for-profit and not-for-profit entities. Karen’s career began as a Staff Accountant at Sam C Cooper CPA PC from 2002 to 2004 and earlier as Staff at Howard McElroy & Co from 1999 to 2002. Academic credentials include a BBA in Accounting and Finance from The University of Texas at San Antonio, completed between 1993 and 1997.
