Marian Phillips

Marian Phillips is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in writing, editing, and education. Currently serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Kansas since August 2022, Marian has also worked as a Freelance Writer for Open Road Integrated Media Inc. and Alternative Press Magazine. In addition, Marian holds the position of Publicist for OutHistory, where the focus is on amplifying LGBTQIA+ histories and movements. Previous roles include Cafe Manager at Barnes & Noble, Staff Writer at ScreenRant, Social Media Coordinator for the Women's History Department at Sarah Lawrence College, and Senior Editor for The Re/Visionist. Marian earned a Master's degree in Women’s History from Sarah Lawrence College and is pursuing a PhD in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at The University of Kansas.
