Johan Ferreira, CFA, is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in private equity and investment. Currently serving as Director at Alterra Capital Partners since January 2022, Johan previously held the role of Vice President at Emerging Capital Partners (ECP) from February 2017 to October 2022, contributing to significant investments across Africa. Johan's early career includes positions as an Investment Professional at Delta Partners and as a Senior Associate at ECP and Delta Partners, where the focus was on the telecoms, media, and digital industries. Johan holds an MBA from The Wharton School, an MEng in Engineering Management, and a BEng in Industrial Engineering from Stellenbosch University, and is a CFA charterholder.
