Jerry Cunha

Jerry Cunha is a 5G-NR PHY Layer Engineer at Altice Labs, specializing in the development of 5G Radio Units O-RAN since October 2022. Prior to this role, Jerry engaged in research at Instituto de Telecomunicações, completing a Master Thesis on the modal characterization of waveguides utilizing the finite-difference time-domain method. Previous experience includes a summer internship at EDISOFT - Defence & Aerospace Technologies, where Jerry contributed to a project involving the management and assembly of a large radio frequency satellite dish, and another internship at NAV Portugal EPE, focusing on the study of GNSS-based approach procedures. Jerry holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering, along with a Master of Engineering, both from Instituto Superior Técnico, and is currently pursuing a Master of Engineering in Aeronáutica/Aviação/Ciência e Tecnologia Aerospacial at the same institution.
