María Valdivieso Anívarro

María Valdivieso Anívarro has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in finance and academia. Their most recent position was as the Head of Finance for ALTIDO in Lisbon, where they were responsible for preparing monthly management accounts and analyzing financial risks. Prior to this, they worked as a Financial Controller at ArcelorMittal, validating income statements and balance sheets. María also gained experience in the hospitality industry as part of the Financial Department at Hoteles Globales. María maintained balance sheet integrity and provided weekly financial reporting to managers. Before that, María worked as a Consultant at Universidad del Pacífico, where they conducted financial analysis and managed external funds. María also served as a Part-Time Financial Teacher, teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses. María has additional consulting experience from their time as a Consultant at UTEC, where they worked on strengthening the international relations of the university and performed financial management tasks. María started their career as an Innovation and Development Analyst at Liberbank, supporting portfolio companies and preparing monthly management accounts. María also owned and managed an academy, Academia DAFO, where they conducted strategic planning and taught classes related to Economics and Business. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Loan Analyst at Caja Rural Central, managing loan approvals and analyzing credit files. María also worked as a Risk Analyst at Caja Rural Regional, preparing statistics and reports for risk identification.

María Valdivieso Anívarro completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from the Universidad de Oviedo in 2011. María then pursued a Master's Degree in Tax Advice from GADE Business School in the years 2011 to 2012. In 2013 to 2014, they attended the Universidad de Oviedo again to obtain a Master's Degree in Economics with a focus on Instruments of Economic Analysis. Later, in 2015, they completed a Master's Degree in Leadership and Management Skills from GADE Business School. Finally, María recently earned their PhD. in Economics and Business Administration with a specialization in Economy and Finance from the Universidad de Oviedo from 2017 to 2020.
