Kevin Barroga

Kevin Barroga has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Their most recent position was as a Web Developer at ALTRES, a role which began in November 2017. Previously, Kevin worked as a Jr. System Engineer at Cetra Technology from June 2014 to November 2017. During this time, they provided technical support and consultation to clients and served as the technical lead for a conversion project for First Hawaiian Bank. Kevin also remediated legacy WebFOCUS code.

Before that, Kevin held the position of IT Administrative Assistant at Carr, Gouveia + Associates, CPAS’s Inc. from May 2012 to May 2014, where they provided administrative and IT assistance to the department and clients. Their duties included setting up and maintaining Microsoft Windows and Server Systems, installing and upgrading workstation hardware, and assisting in remote support services.

Prior to their IT role, Kevin worked as a Technician at Fujifilm Hawaii from April 2008 to November 2011. Here, they serviced clients and installed and maintained wet & dry photo printers and kiosks. Kevin also set up and installed Fujifilm’s Frontier Lab Systems that processed customers’ film and digital media quickly.

Kevin gained valuable experience as an Intern at Sensormatic Hawaii in April 2008, where they assisted with the maintenance of Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) and CCTV systems. Additionally, they interned as an Information Technology Intern at the Kauai County Internship Program in April 2007, configuring and installing new computers for the City & County of Kauai.

Lastly, Kevin began their career as an Electrician Assistant at Sam's Electric from May 2005 to May 2007. In this role, they assisted electricians with installing and maintaining electrical and power systems in new homes using tools such as conduit benders, screwdrivers, pliers, knives, hacksaws, and wire strippers.

Kevin Barroga completed a Full Stack Web Development program at freeCodeCamp from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa from 2011 to 2014, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer and Information Sciences. Kevin also holds an Associate's degree in Applied Sciences, Computer Technology, from Kauai Community College, although the specific dates of this program are not provided.
