Phil Lafresnaye

Phil Lafresnaye is a seasoned compliance professional with extensive experience in the financial services industry. Currently serving as the Sr. Director of Compliance at Altruist since July 2021, Phil previously held the position of Senior Director of Compliance at TradeStation from October 2007 to July 2021, where responsibilities included acting as a technical liaison and overseeing daily operations for Futures and Equities. Phil's earlier roles at TradeStation included Business Analyst II and Client Services Quality Control/Training, with expertise in implementing business systems and AML Actimize. Phil began the career as a Technical Support Representative and has progressively advanced through various technical and compliance positions. Prior to entering the financial sector, Phil served as Director of MIS at Mikara Corp, where initial contributions included network administration and server configuration. Phil has pursued educational qualifications at Miami Dade Community College and Hennepin Technical College, obtaining certifications in fire science and emergency medical services.
