Walter received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from The University of Texas at Austin in 2000 and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Information Science from St. Edward's University in 2003. Currently, they are pursuing a J.D. from the California School of Law, expected to be completed in 2024. Hall also holds certifications including a Certificate of Ordination in Preaching/Pastoral Ministry obtained from Greater St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church in 2017, and a License to Preach obtained in 1992 from the same institution.
