Mera Tilley, Ph.D. has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting in 2008, they worked as a Private Tutor at Kaplan. In 2009, they interned at the U.S. Department of State and later joined the National Institutes of Health as part of the National Human Genome Research Institute, Intramural Program. There, they focused on developing methods for DNA sequence analysis and discovering genetic variants associated with rare diseases.
In 2011, Mera Tilley had an internship as a PhD Intern at Procter and Gamble. Mera then joined Pfizer in 2012, where they held various roles such as Quantitative Geneticist, Senior Manager - Precision Medicine Clinical Scientist, Director of Precision Medicine, and Inflammation & Immunology Medical Affairs.
In 2018, they joined Goldfinch Bio as part of their Precision Medicine and Clinical Science team. Mera then moved on to Foresite Capital and Foresite Labs, where they served as the Senior Director of Translational Genetics.
In 2022, Mera Tilley joined Alumis as Vice President of Genetics and Precision Immunology. Mera also held the position of Head of Genome Sciences and Precision Immunology, where they led the integration of genomics and genetics across the entire Alumis pipeline and played a key role in the launch team collaboration with Foresite Capital.
Currently, Mera Tilley is working as an Advisor at Stealth Mode Biotech.
Mera Tilley, Ph.D. pursued their education in the field of Genetics, Epidemiology, and Biobehavioral Health at Penn State University, where they earned their Ph.D. Prior to that, they studied Genetic Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins University.
