Sandra Saldana, PhD, MBA, is the CEO and Co-Founder of Alva Health Inc., a Techstars-backed company dedicated to assisting older Americans at high stroke risk. With extensive experience in various roles, Sandra serves as an Accelerator Company at MedTech Innovator and as an SBIR/STTR Panel Reviewer at the National Science Foundation. Previously, Sandra was an iD2D Fellow at One Brave Idea, focusing on enhancing patient care, and held the position of Adjunct Professor at the Katz School at Yeshiva University, teaching Biotechnology Management and Clinical Trials. Additional experience includes serving as an Entrepreneurial Fellow at Yale School of Management, Vice President and Director at Brand Institute, and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Sandra's educational background includes an MBA from Yale School of Management, a PhD in Cancer Biology from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and a BA in Biological Sciences from Cornell University.
