Kevin Gunning has extensive work experience in various engineering and management roles. Kevin worked at Amada Miyachi America as the Director of Quality, Service & Support, where they developed a system to track and reduce the company-wide cost of quality. Kevin also served as the Director of R&D, where they co-invented and led the team in developing new capacitor discharge welders and the company's first fiber laser marker family. Prior to that, Kevin worked at Special Devices, Inc. as the Engineering Manager, leading the complete redesign of the company's product line and managing over 60 simultaneous projects. Kevin also worked at Scientific Sealing Technology as an Engineering Manager, where they redesigned the company's product line of vacuum and pressure furnaces and increased productivity in tooling design. Kevin's earlier experience includes working at Amerigon as a Program Manager, leading the design and construction of a complete new electric vehicle, and at TRW as the Technical Center Director, where they planned and directed an engineering center responsible for $80 million in auto component sales.
Kevin Gunning earned a BA degree in Math and Physics from Whitman College from 1980 to 1983. Kevin then pursued a BS degree in Engineering and Applied Science from Caltech from 1983 to 1985.
