Somesh Chakraborty

Somesh Chakraborty currently serves as the Head of Electrical and Power Generation at Amal Ltd since February 2024, overseeing the maintenance of all electrical systems. Prior to this role, Somesh was the Head of the Waste Heat Recovery Power Plant at Continental Carbon from July 2022 to February 2024, managing the operations of an 18 MW plant. Somesh's extensive experience in power plant operation and maintenance began at PCBL Chemical, where roles included Manager, Deputy Manager, and Assistant Manager. Somesh started the career as a Graduate Engineer Trainee focused on electrical maintenance. Educational qualifications include a Post Graduate Certification in Manufacturing Management and Analytics from the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli, a Postgraduate Diploma in Health, Safety & Environment Management from the National Institute of Fire & Safety Engineering Nagpur, and a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from Future Institute Of Engineering and Management.
